Kelly Wendorf, MCC, MECD
Founder and CEO
Some people teach leadership. Kelly Wendorf has spent thirty years dismantling the assumptions that make it necessary to teach it in the first place.
As Founding CEO of EQUUS, Kelly is an ICF Master Certified Coach, published author, poet, spiritual mentor, and socially responsible entrepreneur who has accompanied leaders through meaningful change for over three decades — from the C-suites of Amazon and Microsoft to some of the world's most underserved communities. A gifted educator and architect of transformational learning, she designs the conditions in which people discover what no workshop or curriculum could hand them: their own deepest knowing. Her clients have called her a "corporate shaman" and a "CEO whisperer." What they mean is: she sees things others don't, and she tells the truth about them.
Her book Flying Lead Change: 56 Million Years of Wisdom for Leading and Living (Sounds True) draws on 56 million years of evolutionary intelligence to reframe what leadership — and a life well-lived — actually requires. Her work has been featured in Forbes, Vogue, The Huffington Post, and The New York Times.
Kelly's formation spans decades of immersion with Indigenous and spiritual teachers across India, Africa, Indonesia, and Australia. This, combined with fifteen years at the helm of Kindred magazine — an evidence-based publication exploring the neuroscience of compassionate culture — shaped a worldview that is neither purely mystical nor purely empirical. It is both, held together with rigor.
She works with clients remotely worldwide and in person at Buffalo Spirit Ranch, just outside Santa Fe, New Mexico — a working ranch where the landscape itself is part of the methodology.
